Our pediatric dental practice offers a "Healthy Start" program to local schools. We have a 45 minute presentation that includes an interactive discussion on good oral hygiene, healthy snack choices and a fun game. We also bring goodie bags filled with prizes, toothbrushes and papers for parents to read so they can continue the "Healthy Start" program at home with their child.

This program is designed to be an introduction for you and your toddler (1 1/2 - 2 years old) to our dental office. At this appointment, you and your child will interact with the dental assistant and review proper brushing instructions with "Billy" the bear and friends. They will brush their own teeth at the sink, ride in the dental chair and see our dental picture taking (x-ray) equipment. At the end of your fun dental visit, your child will receive a balloon and pick out prizes! We will continue several of these visits until age 3 when your child should be comfortable and ready for a full cleaning and exam.
